Ukrainians were relieved by news of the US House of Representatives’ decision to allocate funds. It will take weeks to implement, the New York Times reported.
The US House of Representatives passed a $61 billion bill for Ukraine on Saturday, that will take some time to implement.

“The decision by US lawmakers to resume military aid after months of costly delay was met with a general sigh of relief… Some aid, such as artillery shells, may start arriving relatively quickly, but both Ukrainian commanders and military analysts warn that it will be weeks before than US assistance will begin to have a direct impact on the course of hostilities,” the publication reported.
Many experts said that, even with U.S. aid, the air defense situation “will remain challenging for many months.” (Franz-Stefan Gady)
Russia believes that the supply of arms to Ukraine obstructs the deal, involves NATO countries in direct conflict and is “playing with fire.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that “any cargo containing weapons destined for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.”
According to Sergei Lavrov, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, not only supplying weapons, but also training personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy and other countries.
The Kremlin said that “the supply of arms to Ukraine from the West will not contribute to the negotiations and will have a negative effect.”
