Louis Chilton, Louis Chilton, Independent (UK):
“While House of the Dragon takes several episodes to build to a crescendo of great, brutal spectacle, which the show does better than the vast majority of other projects on television, there are enough minor incidents… to satisfy the viewer’s lust for blood.”
Geordie Gray, The Australian:
“If you thought you had acquired an iron stomach and immunity to digest the horrors that the Game of Thrones franchise can bring, then think again.”
Alan Sepinwall, Rolling Stone:
“In its second season, House of the Dragon remains the kind of show that substitutes complexity for complexity, drenching the viewer in waves of tightly-cut and often interchangeable characters in the hope that no one will care because there are dragons.”

Aaron Riccio, Slant Magazine:
“This calmer, slower, but no less bloody season allows the show’s characters to develop in ways that make their impending deaths take on more weight.”
Dan Jolin, Empire Magazine:
“Above all, House of the Dragon remains a poignant and caustic human drama; it is an insightful, timely and well-acted exploration of how power and wisdom are so often mutually exclusive.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, House of the Dragon Season 2 currently has 89% positive reviews out of 19.
