When THR asked Emily, 35, if she has a problem with your fan calling you real name Emma, she replied, “No. That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily.”

She told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview, “For some reason, I was like, I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily.”
In another show, she said, “Growing up, I was super blonde, and my real name is Emily, but I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice, and guess what? Now I am,”

Stone articulated that individuals with whom she collaborates often address her as Emily, particularly after establishing a closer acquaintance.
She elucidated that her choice to adopt the stage moniker “Emma Stone” stemmed from the unavailability of her birth name, Emily Stone, Which had already been claimed by another actress affiliated with SAG-AFTRA before her membership.
