Kate Middleton faced criticism for her behavior during a recent public appearance. After completing cancer treatment, the Princess of Wales has started returning to her duties.
She and Prince William made an unannounced visit to Southport, a town where three children were killed in a stabbing during a yoga and dance class in July.

They met with the victims’ families, local security officials, and mental health experts, and took a brief walk together.
While the visit seemed to go smoothly, photos of Kate during the event sparked backlash. Critics pointed out her smiling in some of the pictures, calling it “disrespectful” and “inappropriate” for such a somber occasion.
“She is laughing at a sad event,” said one commenter, while others expressed disappointment.

However, many fans defended Kate, arguing that her smile was meant to offer comfort and support to the victims.
Some also commented on her appearance, noting that she looked pale and weak after her recent chemotherapy, with some expressing concern for her health.
