Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have bought a home in Europe. Last year, following the release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, King Charles III asked couple to vacate Frogmore Cottage, the residence gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth II.
After leaving the UK, they had no permanent place to stay during rare visits, sometimes staying in hotels or at the estate of Harry’s uncle, Charles Spencer.

Now Harry and Meghan won’t need to rely on temporary accommodations. According to the Daily Mail, they purchased a house in Portugal, just a short flight from England.
While details are scarce, it’s speculated that Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, may have inspired the decision.
Few years ago, she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed the Sussexes to stay at their estate in the Melides region of Portugal.

Jack works at the CostaTerra cottage complex, which could have influenced their choice.

Source also noted that the purchase might give Harry and Meghan more freedom to travel across the Schengen zone, which would be helpful for their public appearances and charity work.
