China Earthquake Networks Center reported that a magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred off the east coast of Taiwan.
According to reports, the tremors occurred in Hualien County at 18:50 local time. The source was located at a depth of 10 km.

Earlier, China Central Television, citing Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau (CWB), reported that the island was still experiencing aftershocks after the strong earthquake that struck on April 3.
Earlier on April 3, Hualien was hit by a major earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.3. About 12 people were killed in this earthquake.
Within an hour starting at 17:52 on Monday, Hualien County experienced 10 consecutive aftershocks. Two of which exceed magnitude 5. The number of aftershocks in Hualien County since April 3 has reached 935.

Hualien city has the most earthquakes compared to other cities. No casualties have been reported so far.
