Harvey Weinstein jailed American producer, has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and is receiving treatment in prison, according to the New York Post.

“Out of respect for Mr. Weinstein’s privacy, we will not comment further,” said his representative, Craig Rothfeld.
Weinstein is being treated at the prison hospital on Rikers Island, New York. His imprisonment followed a major scandal in 2017 when over 80 actresses accused him of harassment, a case that gained widespread media attention and fueled the #MeToo movement.
Weinstein was convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to 23 years. Later, an additional 16 years were added. His legal team appealed the ruling, and New York eventually overturned the 23-year sentence.
