The Asphalt Jungle is a medical thriller based on the novel Black Flies by Shannon Burke. The main roles are Sean Penn and Tye Sheridan, on whose interaction almost the entire film is based. Midnight with the Devil – Premiere June 6
Jack Delroy is the host of the American evening show Night Owls, which has been popular with viewers for several years. However, recently the ratings have left much to be desired, which is why the program is one step away from closure. Hoping to return the Nite Owls to their former glory, Delroy decides to show something special as part of the Halloween special.
“Midnight with the Devil” is a sensational mockumentary horror film created by the authors of the solid slasher film “Scare Campaign.” This film is a benefit performance for David Dastmalchyan, an eternal supporting actor, who received a leading role for almost the first time in his career. Meanwhile, the stylization of the 1970s TV show is a real feast for the eyes. Fans of the genre are strongly advised not to miss it.

The action will cover the period from 1861 to 1865, when the Civil War was going on in the United States. At the center of the story are representatives of several American families, whose lives change once and for all due to hostilities.
The first part of the western “Horizons” – the dream project of cult actor Kevin Costner, who sat in the director’s chair for the first time in 20 years, will also reach Russian cinemas. The film received mixed reviews from critics at Cannes 2024, but fans of old-fashioned Wild West stories will likely still enjoy Costner’s cinema.
Only the river flows – Premiere June 27
In the godforsaken outback, where it rains continuously and the night never ends, an unprecedented murder occurs. A young detective takes on the investigation, ready to do anything to get to the bottom of the truth. He plunges headlong into the investigation, which slowly but surely drives him crazy.
“A River Only Flows Through” is a Chinese film noir that premiered at Cannes a year ago. Wei Shujun, a young director who was obviously inspired by the cinema of Fincher and others like him, is responsible for the direction and script. Thanks to the film image, it feels as if we are looking at a lost thriller from the 1990s, discovered somewhere in the outskirts of a film archive. The grainy retro image is successfully combined with the content, and the intricate story becomes darker and more surreal with each frame, not allowing the viewer to relax for a second.

However, something truly great will also be released. The Inoekino company, which released a restored version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the end of May, will once again delight cinephiles with classics of the genre, against which any modern horror films pale in comparison. This time, horror fans will be able to enjoy watching “Dark Waters,” which can scare even twenty years later.

Once upon a time, Axel Foley was a police legend, but the best years of the persistent cop are behind him. Despite his age, he willingly takes on the next high-profile case. He intends to expose a large-scale conspiracy, in which he is helped by a new partner, unlike Foley, who is accustomed to acting according to the letter of the law.
Beverly Hills Cop is one of the most iconic film franchises of the 1980s and has long become a classic. Rumors about the revival of the saga of Axel Foley circulated for more than ten years, but the idea was brought to life only after the project was picked up by Netflix. The main role, of course, was played by the inimitable Eddie Murphy, who this time was accompanied by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Boys (Season 4) – June 13, Prime Video
Events will again unfold in a world where people with superpowers exist. The plot will center on the confrontation between Butcher and Homelander. The future of all humanity will, of course, depend on the outcome of their battle.

The series again takes place 200 years before what happened in Game of Thrones, and, as usual, it will be about a fierce civil war between two branches of the Targaryen family. The focus will be on the furious feud of former best friends in the person of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, fighting for the Iron Throne.
The sequel to House of the Dragon, which needs no introduction, is destined to become one of the main events of 2024, the release of each new episode of which will outshine everything else.
Bear (Season 3) – June 27, Hulu
Under the leadership of the talented chef Carmi, the unprofitable eatery turned into a prestigious restaurant. As before, Richie and Sydney help the neurotic perfectionist run his affairs, but new problems are not long in coming.
“The Bear” is one of the main TV series of our time, equally successful among both critics and ordinary viewers. Jeremy Allen White, who has finally established himself as a superstar, will continue to shine in the dramedy, while Christopher Storer will traditionally act as showrunner, permanent writer and director of several episodes. We can only hope that such a high bar, set in the last two seasons, will be maintained.
