Legendary rock band The Cure plans to release two new albums. The first one is nearly done, and the second is still being recorded. Lead singer Robert Smith shared this with NME.
Smith admitted the band initially planned to release a full-length album in 2018 to celebrate their 40th anniversary: “I felt like we needed to take stock… It was a big plan—and big plans usually don’t go smoothly, in my experience!”

“But this time, it will work out. We’ve almost finished the second album too. The third one might be a bit trickier, but if we make it that far… you know what I mean? I just can’t help myself,” Smith said.
The Cure’s long-awaited 14th album, Songs of a Lost World, will come out on November 1. On September 26, the band released their first new song in 16 years, “Alone,” followed by the second track, “A Fragile Thing,” on October 9.
