Doctor who prescribed drugs to Matthew Perry has admitted guilt in connection to the actor’s death.
Mark Chavez, the doctor involved, confessed during a court hearing in Los Angeles on October 2. Chavez admitted that he prescribed narcotic drugs to the Friends star knowing about his addiction. As reported by NBC.

He revealed that he part of a scheme to sell these substances exploiting Perry’s vulnerability. Chavez now faces up to 10 years in prison.
Earlier, Perry’s personal assistant, who worked with him for 25 years, also admitted guilt. Investigators say the assistant and doctors were distributing dangerous drugs for profit.
Matthew Perry passed away a year ago. Initially, the case closed quickly but his family pushed for further investigation which uncovered involvement of both his assistant and doctor in the scheme.
