Vanessa Bryant, the widow of late basketball legend Kobe Bryant, and her daughter Bianka had a special moment at the MLB game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, August 25. The event marked what would have been Kobe’s 46th birthday weekend.
In a heartwarming scene, 7-year-old Bianka threw the ceremonial first pitch to Dodgers’ right fielder, Mookie Betts.

The moment, captured on video from the stadium crowd, shows Bianka confidently walking onto the field with her mom before making the pitch. The video has since been shared widely on social media.
Vanessa, 42, was joined at the game by her other children—Capri, 5, and Natalia, 21—all of whom wore jerseys with the number 24, Kobe’s iconic number. The family was there to honor Kobe, who tragically passed away in a helicopter accident in 2020 at the age of 41.
The Bryant family has continued to honor Kobe’s legacy through various initiatives, including the Vanessa Bryant Foundation, which they launched in 2007 to provide scholarships to minority college students.

She captioned one of her posts, “Thank you @dodgers for supporting our @mambamambacitasports foundation. L.A. Love 🙏🏽💜💛 💙🤍”
Khloé Kardashian was among those who showed their support, commenting with multiple clapping emojis on Vanessa’s post.
