Taylor Swift‘s music will be used as part of the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) election campaign. The 34-year-old singer has openly endorsed Kamala Harris since the first debate between Harris and Donald Trump on September 10.
Billboards featuring Swift’s music will officially launch on Friday, September 13, as confirmed by People. The billboards will be displayed in New York City and Las Vegas, featuring popular lyrics from Swift’s songs, such as “We’re in our Kamala era” and “A New Way Forward… Ready for It?”
Some of Swift’s most iconic lyrics will be reimagined for the campaign, including phrases like, “We’re in our Kamala era,” and “A New Way Forward… Ready for It?”
Currently, Las Vegas has two billboards running with one featuring an image of Kamala Harris and the text, “We’re in our Kamala era,” while another takes a jab at Trump, reading, “Exhausted with this guy?” next to a picture of him.
In a public message, Swift encouraged voters to educate themselves, stating, “If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most.” She added that she plans to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.
In response to AI spreading misinformation, Swift clarified her stance, stressing transparency and making it clear that she supports Kamala Harris.
