Stanley, who played art director Nigel Kipling, said he’d be “happy” to reprise the role: “If that happens, I’ll be happy to do it.” When asked if he knows anything about a new script, he admitted, “I don’t really know. I haven’t heard anything about it.”

He also reflected on his experience filming the original movie: “I’ve done a lot of movies, probably a hundred and countless TV episodes, but this one stands out as one of the brightest experiences in my life. It was a perfect mix of people—director David Frankel, Meryl, Annie, and Emily, who’s now my sister-in-law.”
It’s worth noting that talks about sequel began as early as summer 2006, with Stanley and several other stars rumored to return to the project.
