Sophie Turner known for her role in Game of Thrones, recently spoke about her character ahead of the premiere of her new crime series Joan.
In show she portrays Joan Hannington, a figure notorious in British criminal world as “Godmother.”

In an interview with The Sunday Times Culture Magazine, Sophie shared her thoughts on the role: “Joan changed me in so many ways. Out of sheer desperation comes so much drive and ambition.”
Actress revealed that series came at a time when she needed to tap into her own ambition and willpower.
“She gave me a lot of strength. If I weren’t a mother, I’m not sure I could have poured as much energy into this role. Being a single mother is a real struggle,” Sophie added.

It’s worth noting that on September 11, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, finalized their divorce.
The process took a year due to disagreements over custody of their daughters, four-year-old Willa and two-year-old Delphine.
