32-year-old actress learned Spanish for her part in the musical comedy Emilia Perez. This made her relatives, proud of their roots, very happy.

“I had tutors, and we spoke in Spanish every day. My dad was so proud! He said, ‘You’re texting me, mija,’ and I replied, ‘Yes, I’m texting you in Spanish. It feels like a blessing,’” Selena told Extra.
Emilia Perez hits theaters on November 1 and starts streaming on Netflix on November 13.
She shared a moment of movie on her Instagram and captioned it “EMILIA PÉREZ. In select theaters this Fall and on @Netflix November 13 in the US, UK and Canada”
