Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively had kept the gender and name of their fourth child a secret for over a year.
Fans, eager for clues, searched through the songs of Taylor Swift, a close family friend, but assumed the child was a girl since the couple already had three daughters.

Last week, the couple surprised everyone when Ryan revealed the unusual name of their fourth child, which received mixed reactions online. Now, the actor has finally disclosed the baby’s gender.
In an emotional Instagram post dedicated to an Englishman named John Bell, Ryan shared the news. John, who lost his son, a huge fan of Deadpool, now dresses up as the superhero to raise money for charity.
During their conversation, Ryan revealed that he and Blake had a son in February 2023. Read More: Hailey Rhode Bieber Celebrates Rhode Skin’s First Pocket-Sized Pop-Up Launch in New York
“I want to share with you that I have a son too, and that if… God, John, if I love him even one-tenth as much as you love Jake. Then I’ll feel like I’ve done a damn good job,” Ryan wrote.
“This isn’t just Deadpool saying ‘Oh, Hello’ to the MCU. It’s Deadpool – and Hugh, Shawn and me – saying farewell to a place and an era that literally made us.” Ryan Reynolds wrote on the X account.
He thanked everyone and wrote about it, “We are forever grateful to the fun, weird, uneven and risky world of 20th Century Fox. It was our origin story and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. And thank you to Kevin Feige and Disney for allowing us to share it. ❤️💛”
