Rapper P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested in New York following accusations of violence and human trafficking.
According to TMZ arrest took place at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, where Homeland Security Investigators detained him on Monday evening.
Diddy taken into federal custody and transported to the FBI office in Manhattan. Reports suggest that the arrest was initially planned for Tuesday, September 17, but occurred earlier for undisclosed reasons.
Combs‘s lawyer has stated that his client is innocent of the charges.

Arrest follows a series of legal battles for Diddy. Since November last year, he has faced ten lawsuits nine of which involve allegations of sexual assault.
The most notable case was filed by his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassandra Ventura who claimed that Diddy had abused her for over a decade, living a lifestyle marked by excessive alcohol and drug use.
