Queen Camilla has released an update on King Charles III‘s health. Charles is currently battling cancer, ‘Camilla has been telling him to take a break, but he is a workaholic.’
Despite his condition, the 75-year-old king is reportedly feeling well and continues to fulfill his royal duties, as stated by Camilla during the opening of an oncology center in Bath.

King Charles III’s illness was publicly announced by Buckingham Palace in February 2024. He had previously been treated for a benign prostate tumor, but the situation worsened when he was diagnosed with cancer.
The specific organ affected by the malignant tumor has not been disclosed. Although doctors initially advised him to avoid public events, the king returned to his duties in April.
Queen Camilla has concerns about the king’s public engagements, fearing that the stress of numerous trips could hamper his treatment, sources told The Daily Beast. Over the past year, the monarch has noticeably aged, lost weight, and appears physically weaker.

Another source said: “I think there has been a lot of positive spin about the king doing well, getting back to work and so on. But, you know, he has cancer. He is not well. He looked frail in Southport on Tuesday in my opinion. You only have to look at photographs from now compared to a year ago and it’s obvious; he has lost a lot of weight and aged considerably. Camilla has been telling him to take a break but he is a workaholic, he won’t listen.”

It was also revealed that Queen Camilla initially opposed making the king’s cancer diagnosis public. King Charles wanted to share this news with everyone.
He argued that if everyone received this news, they would be able to identify the symptoms of the disease beforehand and continue treatment based on that.
