Prince Harry desperately trying to find new meaning in his life. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what’s going on with Harry—whether it’s a crisis of reputation or a midlife crisis —but prince has suddenly decided to attend public events alone.
This week estranged Duke of Sussex is heading to New York by himself for eight days without supervision of his beloved wife, and soon after, he’s expected to fly back to London.
It turns out there’s a serious reason behind his recent decisions. “Harry sometimes feels like an extra part and often looks unhappy when he’s with Meghan at events in California. I think he’s reached a point where he wants more for himself. He’s turned 40, and he must be asking himself what lies ahead. I believe he’s desperately trying to find new meaning in his life, and that seems to involve more independence. He clearly wants to find projects he can engage in and bring a sense of purpose to his life,” Phil Dampier, author of a book about the Sussexes, told Daily Mail.
Additionally there are rumors that Harry has reconnected with some old friends ahead of his visit to UK. “I’m sure he misses friends he could go have a beer with and really unwind. The more he involves himself in solo activities and creates new projects, the more likely it is that he’ll be able to heal himself and eventually mend some of the rifts with his family. But it will be a long road,” said biographer.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also believes that Harry has lost his place in the world and is now searching for new roles. “There are rumors that he would like to spend more time in Britain and that he might even be interested in some royal duties. While these are likely exaggerated, they highlight his increasingly awkward position. He has a deep rift with his family.” It seems old saying holds true: everything new is just well-forgotten old!
Incidentally, it was recently revealed that King Charles III and Kate Middleton are secretly negotiating Harry’s return to the family—something that Prince William may not be too happy about.
