Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing criticism for the high cost of their recent trip to Colombia. Costing the South American country around £6,500 a day, a total of £45,000.
These figures, as reported by GEO, released by Colombia’s Vice President, sparking backlash given the country’s current financial struggles and health crisis.

The expenses became public after Senator Maria Fernanda Cabal requested an official statement from Vice President Francia Marquez. She had invited the Duke and Duchess after being inspired by their Netflix documentary.
In her response, Cabal condemned the visit as mere “showmanship” and criticized Marquez for using public funds on what she described as a “waste of money.”
While the trip’s costs were controversial, it was also reported that Harry and Meghan covered their own expenses, including flights and accommodations, during their stay from August 15 to 18 in Bogotá.
