The Paris prosecutor’s office has officially demanded that French actor Gérard Depardieu, 75, face trial for the rape of actress Charlotte Arnoux.
According to BFMTV, the indictment was signed on August 4, and the charges stem from incidents that allegedly took place on August 7 and 13, 2018.

Depardieu is accused of raping Arnoux at his Paris home when she visited, seeking advice. The actress had initially filed a complaint, which was later dropped.
She pursued the case further, resulting in Depardieu being formally accused. Evidence from a video recording at Depardieu’s home supported Arnoux’s allegations, according to reports.
