Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez‘s ex-husband, claimed P. Diddy played a role in ruining his marriage to singer. Until now the reasons for their separation remained undisclosed.
During an appearance on Despierta America, Noa, who was married to J. Lo from 1997 to 1998, said he partly blames the rapper. P. Diddy produced several tracks from Lopez’s first album, On The 6. While Noa worked in Los Angeles to open his restaurant, Jennifer recorded the album between Miami and New York. After meeting Sean Combs, Noa says Jennifer changed.
He believes she not only divorced him but also damaged his career. “I would ask Jennifer: ‘What did I do to you that you are suing me? You accused me, slandered me, and called companies and media outlets to not give me a job,'” Ojani shared.
It’s unclear how much Diddy influenced the divorce. However, a year later, Lopez and Combs began dating. At that time, Jennifer faced serious legal trouble.
She spent 14 hours in jail after an arrest alongside Combs and his bodyguard when police found a gun in their car after a shooting incident.
Lopez was released shortly after, but Combs, his bodyguard, and rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow faced charges. Later, Combs and his bodyguard were acquitted, while Barrow was convicted of illegal weapon possession. Rumors suggested Barrow took the blame for P. Diddy.
