Nicole Kidman recently took to social media to express her emotions following the passing of her 84-year-old mother, Janelle.
The actress skipped the Venice Film Festival awards ceremony due to the death of her mother.
A week after Janelle’s death Nicole posted several family photos, including pictures of her mother, father, and younger sister Antonia. Star thanked her fans for their support.
“My sister and I along with our family, want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week.” Nicole wrote, “Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. Thank you from our whole family for respecting our privacy as we take care of each other ❤️”
Nicole had a close relationship with her mother, who instilled in her daughters a love for the arts. Janelle often took them to museums, theaters, and cinemas.
She and Nicole’s grandmother even made clothes for Nicole and her sister, sparking their love for fashion.
