Actress Milla Jovovich has finally reappeared and shared the reasons behind her sudden absence from social media.
Recently, 48-year-old Milla Jovovich caused concern among her fans when she unexpectedly deleted most of her Instagram posts and stopped being active online. However, the “Resident Evil” star has now reconnected with her followers for the first time in a while, explaining why she stepped away.
In a recent post, Milla shared family photos and explained that she had been busy with work and focusing on her family. The actress revealed that she had been involved in several new projects and had also needed time for her loved ones.
“Hey everyone! I’ve been asked recently why I scrubbed my page and where I’ve been lately. Well, the short answer is, I’ve done two films this year, possibly a third before Christmas. We moved and that was a lot of work😅. But more than anything else, I’ve been trying to be a part of my community. I’ve been focusing on being the best unpaid Uber driver for my kids between school and dance, music, gymnastics, martial arts… it’s been crazy busy as any mom will understand.,” Jovovich shared.
The “Fifth Element” star also admitted that at 48, she realizes she’s no longer who she used to be and has decided to “start fresh” to become her authentic self. Milla confessed that she had been dealing with stress, which led her to step away from social media.
She added, “Also, I’ve found that at 48, I’ve changed so much from the person I was before, I needed a clean slate to start from to be this me, the me of the present. I’ve been doing a lot of stretching and deep breathing to handle stress and honestly social media was adding to my stress. You need content, you need content and I’m done with it. I’ve lost a lot of followers because I took a long break, but I’m ok with that because I want to enjoy the small amount of time I spend on here. So here’s a little recap of my personal summer. I’ve made a lot of paper dolls for my little ones.”
“My youngest loves Wednesday, so she’s being creepy in some of the pics. I’ve spent quality time with my family, my dad lets the girls dress him and do his hair😂 My eldest got her black belt in Taekwondo and is now studying Jujitsu. Cooking, organizing and taking the time I’m not on location working to just breathe, try and relax and enjoy my incredible family and the wonderful community I’m now a part of! Sending love, m❤️,” the actress said.
For those who may not know, Milla Jovovich has been married to director Paul W.S. Anderson since 2009. The couple has three daughters: 16-year-old Ever Gabo, 9-year-old Dashiel Edan, and 4-year-old Osian Lark Elliot.
