Matthew Perry’s assistant administered drugs to the actor three times in the final hours of his life, with the last dose of ketamine being particularly large, according to a report by TMZ.
The report reveals that Dr. Salvador Plasencia visited Perry at his home and administered a significant dose of ketamine, which caused the actor’s blood pressure to spike, leaving him immobile. Matthew Perry died, age 54, on October 28, 2023.

Dr. Plasencia advised Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, against further injections. However, the actor continued to receive ketamine in his final days.
Maree commented on the death on her X account, “I didn’t know Matthew Perry’s death could be even more heartbreaking, but after the news about his doctors and his assistant, people who he would’ve trusted, took advantage of him… well, justice better be served. You deserved better, Matty.”
In the days leading up to her death, Perry reportedly administered at least 30 drug injections. It is alleged that Perry forced Iwamasa to administer ketamine three times during his last visit.
According to media reports, Iwamasa pleaded guilty to involvement in Perry’s death.
