The trial date for the two suspects involved in the Matthew Perry case has been set for March 4, 2025. According to a report by Variety, drug dealer Jasveen Sangha and doctor Salvador Plasencia are accused of supplying drugs to the Hollywood actor. Matthew Perry’s overdose is the cause of his death.
There are allegations against the couple of being involved in a drug trafficking conspiracy.

They are accused of distributing drugs, possessing and maintaining a controlled substance, and illegally storing drugs with the intention of distributing a controlled substance. If found guilty, they may face imprisonment for several decades.
The couple and Placencia have denied any wrongdoing and refused to plead guilty. Both Sangha and Plasencia have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett will oversee the joint trial.

“If convicted of all charges, Sangha would face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and a statutory maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Plasencia would face up to 10 years in federal prison for each ketamine-related count and up to 20 years in federal prison for each records falsification count,” the office of U.S. Attorney Estrada said in a statement.
Matthew Perry was found dead in a hot tub at his home on October 28, 2023. Authorities determined that drug use led to a heart attack.

Five individuals, including the doctor who supplied the drugs, were arrested in connection with the case.
