Linkin Park went on hiatus following the death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017. Fans didn’t know if the band would ever return. After nearly seven years, the iconic rock band is back with an exciting new lineup.
Emily Armstrong, lead vocalist of Dead Sara, has joined Linkin Park as co-vocalist, singing alongside Mike Shinoda. This marks a fresh chapter for the band, which announced the changes on September 5th. The matter has been confirmed by Variety Magazine.
In addition to Armstrong, the band has welcomed Colin Brittain as a new member, replacing Rob Cordon on drums. Longtime members Brad Delson (guitar), Joe Hahn (turntables), and Dave “Phoenix” Farrell (bass) remain part of the group.
Linkin Park has also revealed plans to release their highly anticipated eighth studio album, From Zero, on November 15. The album’s lead single, “The Emptiness Machine,” was released on September 5, coinciding with a concert in Los Angeles where Shinoda and Armstrong performed classic hits like “Lost,” “The End,” and “Waiting for the End.” The event was streamed live on the band’s official website.
