The 45-year-old actress revealed that her mind went blank mid-scene. She explained, “I was in the middle of a scene and I just … I said the whole line except the last word, and I couldn’t remember it. I made something up, but it didn’t make sense. Then I got so red and flustered. After that, I said my lines super fast and got off the stage.”
Holmes also mentioned that her co-star, Jim Parsons, comforted her after the incident. She said, “Jim gave me a hug after. He was like, ‘I’ve never seen anyone say their lines so fast and leave the stage!’”
Holmes’ daughter, Suri Cruise, 18, is often seen with her mother but hasn’t appeared in recent events like this one. Suri is currently studying drama at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
