Kate Winslet recently opened up about a life-changing moment she had. When her husband Edward Abel, 46, saved her and her children from a burning house.
The couple first met in 2011 while vacationing on Necker Island in the Virgin Islands. During their stay, a violent storm struck, causing lightning to hit the house they were in, which quickly caught fire.

Winslet, 48, was there with her children, and it was Edward who came to their rescue, ensuring their safety. Recalling that harrowing experience, Kate realized that Edward was still in her life.
“It became absolutely clear to me that he is the person I should hold on to in this life. And I still feel that way,” Kate shared in an interview with The Telegraph.
