Fans of the royal family have been eagerly awaiting news of her return to public life, as she has been undergoing chemotherapy. Despite two recent public appearances, insiders suggest that Kate, 42, is unlikely to resume her royal responsibilities.

According to Radar Online, Kate’s battle with cancer has caused her to reevaluate her priorities, placing royal duties on the backburner. Those close to the family believe that she may not return to work at all, as she is currently “in the middle of a health crisis.”

Journalist Dan Wootton commented that, while Kate understands the importance of her role, her priorities have understandably shifted. Royal biographer Robert Jobson, author of Catherine, Princess of Wales, agrees, noting that the public should adjust their expectations. He emphasized that Kate will likely prioritize her children and support Prince William during this difficult time.

It was back in March 2024 when Kate revealed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy following the discovery of cancer during an abdominal surgery in January.
