Singer Justin Timberlake will face a fine and have his driver’s license revoked following a drunk driving incident.
American artist was able to negotiate a deal with the prosecutor’s office after being arrested earlier this year in New York.
Arrest took place in June, with Timberlake being suspected of driving under the influence, running a red light, and failing to stay in his lane.
Timberlake managed to avoid jail time. According to sources, he will be fined between $300 and $500, though the offense will not be classified as drunk driving.
Along with the fine, his driver’s license will be suspended for one year. This is typical punishment for refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
Timberlake admitted that he had consumed “one martini” before getting behind the wheel.
