Kanye West: Julia Fox opened up about her brief relationship with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and her experience as a new mother during their two-month fling.
She appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” and described the relationship as overwhelming and unsustainable due to the rapper’s demanding needs that didn’t align with her responsibilities as a mother to her newborn son.
She explained that Ye required a full-time presence, which she couldn’t provide as she had just become a mother and had to prioritize her child. She used AirPods to stay on the phone with him while tending to her son’s needs, but it became too much to handle. She realized she couldn’t put anyone else first and that her son had to be her priority. She mentioned that it felt like taking care of two babies.
Julia Fox reportedly shared more details about their relationship in her memoir, “Down the Drain,” where she referred to Ye as “the artist.” They dated briefly in early 2022, shortly after Ye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian.
Fox had already finalized her divorce from private pilot Peter Artemiev in 2021, and she gave birth to their son, Valentino, just months before she started dating Ye. She expressed surprise at the media attention that their relationship received, as she initially thought it would remain private.
She mentioned that many celebrities prefer to keep their relationships discreet, and she didn’t expect the relationship to become so public. Ultimately, she couldn’t maintain the public attention and the demands that came with it for an extended period.
