Jennifer Aniston shares heartfelt thoughts on Friends co-star Matthew Perry’s death. In Vanity Fair interview, she expresses relief that Perry’s suffering ended.
Perry, known for Chandler Bing, passed away nearly two years ago. He battled alcohol addiction and other struggles for years. Friends cast tried supporting him, but efforts failed. Aniston notes cast mourned Perry long before death, seeing his fight against addiction.
“But it almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight. As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better,” Aniston says, looking solemn and out toward the ocean. “I’m glad he’s out of that pain.”
