Jenna Ortega, the 21-year-old star of Netflix‘s Wednesday, has firmly denied rumors of a romantic relationship with 61-year-old actor Johnny Depp.
Speaking to BuzzFeed, Ortega called the rumors “crazy” and a complete fabrication by the media. Her comments were also reported by Just Jared.

Despite his denial, fans took the quote seriously, causing the rumor to spread widely.
Ortega recounted a funny moment on set with actor Richard Grant, who approached her and asked, “Oh, so you’re with Johnny?” She laughed, noting that she doesn’t even know Depp personally.
Johnny Depp also responded to the rumors. Last summer, through his representatives, he stated that he has no personal or professional relationship with Ortega and was shocked by the false claims. Moreover, he was shocked by this information and considered it an attack on his reputation.
