Javier Bardem, 55, and Penelope Cruz have been happily married for over 10 years, sharing not just family life but a close friendship and professional bond.
Javier has acted in and produced about 10 films with Penelope. Their chemistry first sparked in the 1992 tragicomedy Jamón, Jamón. She was 17, and he was 22.

For Cruz, it was her first film, and for Bardem, one of his earliest. “We met during a wardrobe fitting, and something happened—something beyond logic and reason,” Bardem shared in an interview with Gentleman’s Journal.
The two reconnected in 2007 after both had become global stars. That’s when their romance blossomed.
“We realized that the feeling was still there. At that moment, we were both single, so it was only natural that we came together, discovering we had much more in common than expected,” Bardem said.

For the interview, Penelope herself took the photo of Javier. Their story is a reminder that true love can exist.
