Recently, speculation has risen over whether Diddy might have had some responsibility for Foxx’s hospitalization.

In Foxx’s upcoming Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, three eyewitnesses reportedly discussed his hospitalization, but their stories varied. One of them, Choke, a videographer, producer, and director, shared his thoughts with Comedy Hype.

Earlier this month, on October 4 and 5, Choke attended the show taping at Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.

On October 7, Comedy Hype released a YouTube video where Choke said, “Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called What Had Happened Was, and I went to the taping of it. It was three days of taping. I went to the first show; I went to the last show. Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].” However, it remains unclear if these comments will make it into the final cut of the Netflix special.

When asked if the comments could have been part of a joke, Choke said, “I don’t think he was joking. You all can decide if he was joking or not when you watch the show. For me — I’m a new comedian, right? … I can tell when someone’s setting up a punchline and when someone’s being serious,” he added, careful not to “spoil [Foxx’s] jokes.”

Page Six has confirmed these claims and detailed the story further.
