Italy Backs Dutch Premier Mark Rutte for NATO Secretary General Role: Antony Blinken

Discussions surrounding additional support for Kyiv, Secretary of State Antony Blinken voiced optimism about Ukraine's journey towards financial and autonomy.

Blinken expressed, “We are witnessing Ukraine's gradual stride towards self-sufficiency in military prowess, economic , and democratic resilience over the foreseeable future.”

Earlier discussions during a NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels saw NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg proposing the establishment of a contribution fund. This fund aims to provide financial backing to Ukraine over five years, totaling $100 billion, as part of an upcoming document package set for endorsement during the alliance's July summit in Washington.

However, the itself has yet to take definitive action in bolstering support for Kyiv. Congressional approval for the administration's latest funding request for Ukraine remains pending.
