Ledger discussed this with Andrew Garfield while working together on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Ledger’s last film.
Heath met the Spider-Man star right after finishing filming for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. “Heath was so happy about it. I asked, ‘How did it go?’ and he said, ‘It went really well,’” Garfield recalled in an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
Ledger died at 28, about six months before The Dark Knight was released. His prediction came true: the film broke several box office records and Ledger posthumously won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
