The highly anticipated Harry Potter series will not be released before 2026-2027, according to HBO CEO Casey Bloys in a recent interview with Deadline.
Bloys explained that it’s still early in the production process so they can’t give an exact premiere date yet.
He shared that the writers have begun working on the script, and director Mark Mylod is preparing for the project. The production team is currently hiring key staff and starting the casting process.
Mark Mylod, 59, known for his work on Succession, will direct the series. The show will stay true to the original books by J.K. Rowling and promises to include more details from the novels, which were sometimes left out of the films.
