Dwayne Johnson, 52-year-old actor and wrestler, addressed an important topic in his microblog on World Mental Health Day. He emphasized importance of not being too busy to give time and attention to loved ones.
“Everyone struggles with their own battles, and many keep it inside,” Johnson shared. “A lot of people don’t talk about it, and I’ve learned that the hard way over the years,” he added.

Instead of simply checking in with friends by asking, “How’s it going?” he prefers a more meaningful approach: “How’s your heart? How are you feeling?” According to him, this deeper inquiry often has significant impact.
Reflecting on his personal experiences, Johnson acknowledged, “I know what it’s like to struggle with mental health. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re spiraling… I’ve been there.” He referred to these moments as bouts of “mental hell.”
Recently, Johnson shared that he had been going through something similar, recalling a beautiful day that still felt clouded by “grayness.”

While being an only child made him accustomed to being alone, the “constant loneliness” overwhelmed him, prompting him to reach out to friends by day’s end.
He concluded with heartfelt reminder: “Check in on your friends and loved ones. I’ve lost friends who couldn’t handle stress; the pressures of life and mental struggles became too much for them.” Johnson’s words serve as a powerful call to stay connected and offer support to those who may be silently struggling.
A fan commented, “Great advice and message on checking in with people, and also support others. At the end, no matter who we are and what we do, we’re all in this world for a relatively brief time, all together.”
American coach Jim Kwik also commented, “Some people view Emotional and Mental pain as less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also often harder to bear. It is easier to say, “My knee hurts” than to say ‘My heart (or spirit) is broken’.”

“The frequent attempt to hide or suppress internal pain can further increase the burden. Hustle kindness because you never know what battles others are facing. One caring act can have a massive rippling butterfly effect – a butterfly that beats its wings in one corner of the globe and with that single action changes the weather halfway across the world. Likewise, one small positive vibration or act of kindness can change the entire cosmos” he added
