Rihanna Shooting Incident: Police Arrest Suspect After Rifle Attack at Her Home

It was a terrifying Sunday in Beverly Hills. A day that was supposed to be quiet for pop icon Rihanna turned into a living nightmare. Imagine being inside your home, a place that’s supposed to be your sanctuary, only to hear the deafening crack of rifle fire echoing through the halls.

The shooting at Rihanna’s mansion—an incident so close that a bullet actually pierced the walls of her home.

According to reports, the chaos unfolded this past Sunday. A woman, later identified by authorities as 35-year-old Ivana Lisette Ortiz, allegedly pulled up in a white Tesla across from Rihanna’s estate. Without warning, she unleashed a hail of gunfire—approximately 10 shots—using a high-powered rifle.

The LAPD responded to the scene at approximately 1:21 p.m. following reports of multiple shots fired. Sergeant Jonathan de Vera, a spokesperson for the LAPD, confirmed that while the scene was harrowing, miraculously, no injuries were reported.

“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” said Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson.

Police found bullet holes in a gate at Rihanna’s home and in an RV parked in the driveway, he said.

But make no mistake, this was a life-threatening moment. One of those bullets traveled through the exterior and pierced the wall of the residence. While we know Rihanna was inside during the attack, it’s still unconfirmed if her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three children—RZA, Riot, and their youngest, Rocki—were also in the line of fire. However, a source close to the family has confirmed they are all safe and doing okay.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time the superstar has faced danger on her own property. Back in 2018, a 27-year-old man hopped a fence and spent nearly 12 hours inside her Hollywood Hills home before being discovered by an assistant. While he claimed he wasn’t stalking her, he was slapped with a 10-year stayaway order.

But this Sunday’s event was different. This wasn’t just a fan crossing a line—it was a violent assault with an AR-15-style rifle. The suspect was captured roughly 30 minutes later in Sherman Oaks and is currently facing serious charges, including attempted murder, with bail set at over $10 million.

It’s a sobering reminder of the risks high-profile stars face every single day. We are just glad that Rihanna and her family are safe after such a traumatic ordeal. Our thoughts are with them as they navigate the aftermath of this “Human Touch” nightmare.
